Do you love photography? Do you love nature? Well, your passion, patience, talent and imagination could land you an amazing prize – in this year’s British Wildlife Photography Awards (BWPA), as they’re now open for entries.

The BWPA were established to recognise the talents of photographers in Britain. At WWF, we love the awards, because they do a wonderful job of raising awareness about the incredible wildlife we have here in Britain.

There are 12 categories to enter, including animal behaviour, urban wildlife and even categories for budding young wildlife photographers.

I’m excited that we’re sponsoring the Coast and Marine category again this year. I’m also delighted to be a competition judge again. I can’t wait to immerse myself in your inventive photos that convey the behaviour of marine wildlife, or which capture a real sense of place or occasion.

Check out the above photos which are just some of my favourites since the competition started. You can also read a blog by last year’s Coast and Marine category winner Alex Mustard.

For full details about all the categories, all the fabulous prizes on offer, and how to enter, check out the BWPA website…..and good luck!
