Joshua Long has always loved tigers. He’s already adopted a tiger with WWF – but in August the 10 year old went the extra mile. He donned his pyjamas and tiger slippers to raise money to help protect tigers in the wild.
Sasha, Joshua’s mum, said “[Joshua] was entirely responsible for raising the money and the whole thing was his idea. He pledged to walk around the block where we live, dressed in his pyjamas and tiger slippers to raise money. He walked around 4 times”.
Joshua raised the money from his family and friends at school and produced a fact-file about the critically endangered big cat as part of his fundraising efforts. In the end, he raised an absolutely fantastic £134 – and even had his picture in the local paper!
Everyone here at WWF would like to say a big thank you to Joshua for all his amazing efforts and all who supported him in this achievement.
