Woking #SpeakUp During Week of Action

On 8 – 16 October, thousands of people across the country took park in the Climate Coalition Week of Action, taking the opportunity to #SpeakUp for the things they want to protect from climate change.

As part of the week, we here at WWF hosted an event at The Living Planet Centre alongside Billie Anderson, a local Fair Trade representative. The event centred around a panel of four, including Woking’s local MP, Jonathan Lord, WWF’s UK and EU Climate Advocacy Specialist, Rebecca Williams, Billie Anderson and the Operations Manager at Thameswey Sustainable Communities, Sean Rendall – each presented why climate change is important to them and took questions from the floor.

A fantastic 60 to 70 local people came to #SpeakUp about what they want to protect from climate change, including 10 students from local Hermitage school.

    What would you #SpeakUp for?
